I saw a friend just yesterday and he saw me and walked away Could I have changed so much since then But now I can't remember when It takes me back to see his face, then right back here where I'm erased Is this the way it's going to be Would there be anything that's worth this to me Every cold wind I have ever felt before Everything I've lost for that "something more" Every "this is worth the price" I've said til I believe again Called to question when I feel the silence of my passing friend Connections lost for something else, at least that's what I've told myself Is there a day coming when I will wish I hadn't aimed so high Something at least that I could show to convince myself the cost was low Cuz for now all I see is the end of what had once accepted me Every cold wind I have ever felt before Everything I've lost for that "something more" An absence for a time and now I'm stranger bound But if that's all it took, was that ever a friend I found?

Coming Up 02:42
Pass me another as I recover One more will take me but two more will make me Once again I feel that this time it's for real I'm comin up in style Stay with me a while Stay with me a while Mind all bombarded, just getting started All the solutions, I'll bring one back with me Once again I feel that this time it's for real I'm comin up in style Stay with me a while Stay with me a while

A Name 03:53
So fifteen years from now, tell me will I just be a name The box is packed and you're so far away Distant like we've been for many days That last goodbye, that one last hard embrace So hard in that light to see the tears on your face It wasn't anybody's fault and it was everyone to blame Some place along the line, things just weren't the same So fifteen years from now, tell me, will I just be a name The long ride home and the songs on the radio Just reinforced what you and I already know The circumstances weighed too heavy for all of this We must part now because that's just the way it is It wasn't anybody's fault and it was everyone to blame I find it hard to realize now I am just a name In a world, a life apart, I'd love you all the same Goodbye goodbye, I'll never forget you Goodbye goodbye, forget me, don't forget me and you Fifteen minutes passed, already I'm only a name

Well back when I first saw you I didn't expect that you would ever look my way One thing to take your shot but when you're bound to reject it's a waste of time to even play But the way you shot your liquor well I have to admit That if I didn't try my luck then I'd be wishing I did Oh baby you got me goin You're a hundred days of trouble and I want them all I'll take the ride while knowing The end is coming hard but think it's worth the fall The last time that I saw you I'd never have dreamed that I could stand to see you again The way it fell apart was such an evil scheme even knowing it would badly end But here we are again and well I have to admit There's a thrill in getting burned and never knowing to quit Yeah baby you got me going You're a hundred days of trouble and I want them all Another ride I take while knowing The end is coming twice so let's watch it fall oh Yeah baby you got me going You're a hundred days of trouble and I want them all Another ride I take while knowing The end is coming hard but think it's worth the fall Yeah baby you got me going You're a hundred days of trouble and I want them all Another ride I take while knowing The end is coming twice so let's watch it fall

about

When we started this band we wanted to do rock but were too impatient to find other people to play bass and all so the stripped down style we've been doing the past year sort of dictated itself.

We didn't mind and it was fun.

But when we recorded what would become the roots of these songs in one of our cousin's backyard on a stripped down kit and a failing Vox amp and listened back to them we finally realized on almost every song we were saying "boy wouldn't this sound better if it had a bass line here or a harmony here or a lead here or a or a or a or a"

And so thanks to some DIY overdubs we're doing what we originally wanted to do when we started this band, at least for this album. Maybe this is how we'll do it from now on, maybe just this one time, either way this is how they go for now.
